Quote: etoile1 "That was a ridiculous decision, when the knock on was given against Watson at a crucial stage in the match You won the penalty count tonight but all the 50 - 50s and sometimes obvious things went against you. I cannot believe the number of times you were pulled up for forward passes. You play to different rules to every other team in modern rugby. Every other team is allowed to pass as many as they want forward. A perfect example of this was Fev tonight. Fact is they threw at least 8 forward passes tonight . Weird how none of these were 'spotted', including the one in their first try. In a tight game, I am afraid decisions such as these cost you the match, just as much as errors from your players. In fact, I do not think any player on either side made as many errors as the officials tonight. The players will have to accept constructive criticism. Let's hope the officials face the same.'"
What a load of tosh. 9 times out of 10 it's the TJ that gives forward passes, not the ref. The ref had a good game. He could have blown up at almost every play the ball but used common sense in trying to keep the game moving. Yes he made mistakes, but nowhere near as many as the players.
Here's a tip - take the whistle up and go and try it yourself as you are obviously such an expert.
