| I think Walker has been hard done to. Better season than Clark and the one who is far more likely to be in the frame for an Ashes series and World Cup in 2026.

| Sam’s selections in 2024 could indicate that Powell, if not better than Walker, is at least someone he has more trust in.
Now I’m no fan of Wane’s international track record, but if Burgess thinks something is amiss with Walker, I can cut some slack on Wane not playing him.
Wane cannot afford to get beaten by Samoa, and his choice of Clark over Walker, would indicate he and a select few, knew of the Kangaroos tour before everyone else.
In which case, the selection of Clark over Walker is fully validated and I cannot now question why he wasn’t prioritising building a team for the next World Cup.

Everyone knew about the Kangaroo tour; it has been scheduled for ages. The only thing that has changed is that it is now the Australians touring rather than us.
