Congrats to Dufty, Ashton and Walker - well deserved.

Not much to argue about, maybe Lees is the biggest question mark?

Great to have some recognition, even if I'd put Currie and Williams slightly higher than Walker among our players (Danny has of course had a great season).

Lees's inclusion cannot be for any reason other than to avoid another McManus dummy spit.

I know that most teams' supporters will have a similar take on their favourites but without wishing to rev rubber duckie up, if only Vaughan had managed to stay on the pitch and Fitzgibbon hadn't been injury plagued they'd have surely pushed for a place before Lees and Martin.

Echo the comment around recognition for their efforts, and also agree there is a lot of subjectivity around those who make the dream team. It's plausible that some individuals will have had an excellent season, only to be behind others who play in same position, but for a teams higher up in the final league table.

Why have 2 scrum halves been selected?

Lees selection is a joke! Plenty of other props much more deserving - including 2 of ours..

I would have had any of the Leigh props before Matty Lees. It must be compulsory to include a Saints player.

Wonder if Saints will appeal against this decision.

Matty Lees for me is a bizzarre choice, the only one i don't get. Amone, Ese'ese, Sue, Byrne, Harrison have all been much better than him all year so his pick is the only real odd one for me.

Byrne has been garbage for wigan this year, he's almost been enemy #1 for their fans.

He hasn't been garbage but he has had more average games than good. About on par with Lees. Havard and Ellis have walked all over Lees though as have a multitude of props throughout the league. The wildest selection for me is putting another #7 in over French. Can't get over that one. Not even Salford fans would have Sneyd over Bevan. It's all about trying to get players in from across the teams rather than rewarding the actual best players. If they have been the best players then they have been the best players. French has won games on his own.

No doubt French is a much better player than sneyd, but probably missed too many matches. Lees is totally baffling, Byrne nearly as baffling. George Williams can feel unlucky in my opinion.

Byrne isn't in it Hook. Even Wigan fans would have questioned that one icon_lol.gif

French gets in if he plays more games... no doubt.
Lees over Sue at HKR or Mulhearn at Leigh or Harrison for us is perplexing... I guess they needed to pick at least 1 Saints player.
