Some surprises there.

Strange one re Fitzgibbon. I was told yesterday he was still 2-3 weeks away. Hope we’re not throwing him in to early. Refreshing to see a few players back though.

I wonder if we still have "Wigan week" ? The Cullen methodology wherein the players raise their performance and intensity for 2 weeks a season.

Think there might be two or three red herrings in that squad, can't see King or Fitzgibbon playing.

He also said players such as Toby King, Lachlan Fitzgibbon, Josh Thewlis and Jordy Crowther are getting close to full fitness, and added: “The bodies are hopefully recovered.

“We’ve got a good bit of work into them today. We came in with a bit of energy, so that’s nice, but we’ve got to get it right for Friday night.

“It’s been business as usual.”

I suppose the luxury of a 21-man squad is being able to keep your options open by naming one or two players who are still 50-50 in midweek, but might be OK by Friday night. It makes me a bit nervous to see players named ahead of their scheduled comeback date, but you have to just trust that the medical people will give the coaches the right advice - and that it will be heeded.

There is also the possibility of confusing the opposition coach with the mind games of who might run out of the tunnel at 8pm on Friday.
I would think there is more chance of the Funky Gibbon turning out though.

It was clearly a tactic last week to rest everyone, as we were only playing Saints. Save your big guns for the tough games.

There will be some tired bodies after last week so its probably good news that the 4 man cavalry have arrived back

That would be pretty Oddie to see!

We can win tomorrow and likely still end up in 3rd on the table.
