| Play the best team imo.
We have quality cover outside the current 13 if we lose a player.
And all these players deserve a chance to play at Wembley.
Their chance will only come at the misfortune expense of the current 13.
Ratchford hb
Wrench cente
Lindop wing
Bullock prop
Crowther backrow
By playing the current 13 shows no player gets favouritism. It means no player is bigger than the team!
Thus being the psychology of Burgess that got him pushed out of Souths.
How would if feel to you as a player pushing for a position at a final to be told that you are going to be dropped from a winning team because your considered not good enough?
That happened to Briers at Saints.
If you lose your spot through circumstances like injury, it makes it acceptable that you may not get back into the team.
Burgess upheld his thinking with Williams return from injury earlier in the season.
Williams started back off the bench!
He couldn’t drop Ratchford who was sensational and breaking records!

| I kind of get what you are advocating here and so might Burgess, so a valid strategy, but if Ratchford steps in at 6 and is again "sensational" what happens to Williams?

Pretty sure he started on the bench then got re-injured and missed the week after….
I’m not 100% on it though.
He couldn’t get in the team because Hayes and Ratchford were in the halves and we kept winning.

Williams missed round 2 v Hull FC and round 3 v Castleford, but started in round 4 v Hull KR. He then missed round 5 v London and the cup game v London, but returned to the starting line-up for round 6 v Catalans, and has been ever-present since then. He has not started from the bench in any game.

I think we’ll see Williams go to 6 in the CC and Ratchford getting a bench spot over the 18th man spot.

So he started at KR.
My gaff. In true RD style.
Thanks.

| Yeah i think Burgess will play the same Squad, Ratch at 6 with Williams back for the CC regardless of how Ratch plays.
If crowther is back this week, he comes straight on to the bench, with wood or Bullock taking Philbins spot.
But you never know, some might need a break before the CC so may be rested. Either way it's an exciting few weeks

| Next Boy Up!!
Fair play I'd say as it gives the 'upcomers' a chance to show what they can do. I remember a similar 'double header v Salford a couple of years ago and from memory the young lads gave a great account of themselves whilst the seniors fluffed their lines in the semis.
