Sorry mate, my glib comment was only because I think Holbrook is just Price revisited.

Details , he was the one that turned them around, not only to be contenders but to be the best team by a long way. Woolf rode the wave to a degree IMO, certainly for the first season.

If our players buy in to his methods the way that the Saints squad did then he is an excellent choice. If they don't then we have way bigger problems than which coach we end up appointing now.

The one thing they all agreed on before today was that he massively overhauled the culture which Saint Cunningham had destroyed. Something that we obviously need.

We're assuming the coaches have been the problem all along. Despite Price's preference for boring rugby, having seen that Powell couldn't even motivate this bunch, maybe Price wasn't such a bad coach after all. In fact, he seemed to do best with a weaker squad with less Prima Donnas.

I think that unless we sort out this comfort-zone culture within the ranks, Holbrook won't be able to change a thing here.

However, IF this rumour is true, I live in hope. Four years is a big pay off when it goes wrong again though.

Holbrook is an outstanding man and an outstanding coach. He'll get the town behind the team again and the team will improve drastically. Everything will improve from your academy through to your first team if you give him the resonsibility. His knowledge of the NRL market is outstanding, as is his knowledge of reserve grades and juniors over there. So when you sign a player, you'll know he's got something. This is absolutely the best decision Warrington could make. [If true, hopes it isn't].
