| Kyle apparently said a few words to the team last week before he departs for pastures new.
Along the lines of “You are the most unprofessional bunch of lads I’ve ever worked with”, and walked out.

| Well he was a Powell master stroke in assisting with team harmony then wasn’t he?
He could well be right but they should’ve fired back that he’s a dreadful co-commentator.

| Well the likes of currie, Williams, ratchford and clark(whatever you think of their ability)have got to play international rugby league at the highest level. You dont get that by being unprofessional. Jason Clark was an aussie grand final winner who sam burgess described as his best ever team mate. So as far as I can see, Amor must be aiming this at either players who are leaving anyway, the young lads who've played this season,.....................or Powell's cas mates!!

| I tend not to believe every story I hear. It is so easy to make one up to fit your agenda & for a bit of amusement. Apparently?

| If there is any truth in this it is a sad indictment on the state of the club. It is clear that Powell has come in and tried to instill a level of professionalism that the players may not be used to.
Not many of us know exactly what goes on behind the scenes but there cant be many players that can look in the mirror and say that they did everything possible to make this year a success.
When a fellow professional with more GF rings than the whole of our squad combined says this with no axe to grind then some people need to be taking a long hard look at themselves.
Clearly players with incredible talent have come to this club and been allowed to drop into a comfort zone. It sounds like there has been almost a trade union v management battle within the club this year.
Once the remaining departing players have gone there is 5 months for everybody to get with the programme. It is not like Powell didnt warn them. In his first video he explained that there would be some things that they might not like but asked them to go with it - sounds like some didnt want to go with it.
If anything if these comments from Amor are true I am even more behind Powell. If the tail is wagging the dog then we will never win the big one.

As has been said this might be all hear say, however, I agree with the above post. I did mention in a previous post that I have heard many wire fans over the years saying how come when these so called top players come to our club they suddenly become average and its really frustrating.
I am behind Powell and would have been disappointed if the board would have got rid, I think we will be a different team next season, I think its fair to say that I am vastly in the minority on here even my wife disagrees with me I totally get the frustration even anger from the fans as what ever the club is doing there is no denying it so very nearly went badly wrong.

Personally, I think the story is BS, or greatly exaggerated.
However, it [iis[/i common knowledge that several senior players didn't want to change and didn't accept critique of their performances. It is also common knowledge that we've not looked like potential Grand Final winners since 2013, despite a plethora of big names on big money over the last 10 years. It is clear there was an issue long before Powell arrived, as big name players don't suddenly become bang average overnight. And we've thrown a LOT of money and effort at big names.
The debate will go on about whether or not Powell is the right man to overhaul the club, but change was certainly needed. I'm hoping this season was a perfect storm of pressure, unsettled and nervous players, new systems and calls, and a few bad influences in the dressing room. If all that becomes history over the course of the off-season, then we may just get to see Powell's form for turning clubs around. Let's hope he turns out to be the right man for the job after all, because I'm not seeing many other candidates out there. As someone stated earlier, Wane seemed completely put off by the thought of taking the reigns here.

And, conversely, to discount one that doesn't fit.

We did have a forum member confirm that said something very similar a month or so back but didn't name names.
Anyway, to use a facile phrase as Powell is so fond of employing which seemingly obviates any sense of singular, end point responsibility to him - "it is what is is".
