Good riddance, sad end to his wire career but he’s not covered himself in glory refusing to play for the club.

It seems like we reached the stage when it was untenable for him to stay, so it's best for all parties that he moves on ASAP, in my opinion. Whether our good performance against Catalans in his absence was a coincidence or a sign of something deeper, I'm not sure. He's been a good servant to the club but am I crying over the departure of a player in his mid-30s? Hardly.

I wonder if we are making room on the Salary Cap, for another imminent signing?

Cooper and King would have both been on decent salaries.

I realise we have absorbed Wardle`s and Nicholson`s wages, but we will now have a lot of room on our cap.

I think Mike is still Director of rugby at Latchford so we need to remember his input at community level is, and will be important in the future.

I think of Mikaele as 'Claude', because in the two games I have listened to on Radio Manchester, their jackass of a commentator keeps on referring to him as Makelele.

Sad finish to Cooper's Warrington career. He's always given 100% in the P&B, and he's earned my respect and I wish him all the best. I guess we'll not get to know the complete story, but it will be best all round for him to move on.

Don't know the ins and outs of all this but if true what a sad end to a really good Warrington career. From the outside looking in he always gave 100% and with Hilly was the mainstay of the pack for a good number of years. All the best Mike for the future and thanks for your efforts.

What i can't understand is that players were , & as far as i know still are, encouraged to find themselves careers for when their playing days are over.
On the other hand players involved should still be prepared to accommodate whatever is necessary to keep the club management happy.
