| I suggested this chant in one of the threads. It was tongue in cheek, but I do wonder if the two big cheeses on the board (Middleton and Moran) are questioning themselves and thinking they are part of the cultural problem. I don't think they do see the club as a train set, they are serious fans and will hurt as much as us when the team loses. BUT, they are the ones who have been pulling the strings for a long time and a variety of approaches has not worked. So, perhaps not so much tongue in cheek, is it time for the owners to sell and hand over the reins to someone with no cultural baggage?

Be careful what you wish for!! I'd have a think about what we've achieved since moran bought the club and compare it to the 30 years previous.

| I'm not wishing it at all. I'm wondering whether they think about the failure to win the Grand Final and whether they have done all they can. In terms of love for the club, I doubt we'd get better owners.

| Putting cash into a club, is one thing, and getting the right people to run it is another. I wouldn't necessarily want a sea change with the board members as such, but they must have considered which appointments were a success and which were failures. This is something I hope they will improve upon.

| Sack the board, and their money. Clever thought. Are you hoping for a Saudi takeover?

| To scary to even think about, has as been said we won’t attract big investors not just our club but the sport as a whole. Both( Moran & Middleton) clearly good business men in their field but as fans we are always saying are they any good at running a sports club.

| I think this is quite a simple one.
Looking dispassionately if they were board directors of a SME business tasked with specific areas of responsibility they would probably have been axed for repeatedly and consistently failing to deliver the strategic targets the club has verbally espoused for over a decade. I should imagine most, if not all, KPIs with Warrington are down since 2016 - revenue, attendances, win %, league position, playoff wins, GF appearances. We are probably up on social media out reach.
As investors they have been very generous.
As owners they can do what they like.

| Moran + Middleton must be fuming where this club is now and yes they must take some responsibility especially over our recruitment policy which has been laughable with some of the dead wood we’ve signed and agree with some who say becareful what you wish for.

| Good summary, Wires71. So, as massive fans, do they think they should sell to someone else (i.e. get investment from elsewhere) and enjoy the success from the terraces? Or do they keep trying different strategies until, in 2045, they finally do it?
I should make clear I have absolutely no problem with them continuing and I know this is as close to a fans run club you can get nowadays.
BUT, we still haven't won the title.

I think they need a Director of RL to drive everything from club ethos, standards, rugby style, youth, scouting, recruitment* retention*, contract negotiations*, managing performance staff. Free up the head coach to concentrate on performance from the first team. He would be "Mr Warrington" from an RL perspective. Someone who has good links in Northern and Southern hemisphere RL.
The would also free up the CEO (remove from position of harm) to concentrate on sponsorship, membership, marketing, turnover, EBIT, filing accounts, legal, etc.
*in agreement with coach.
