| I'll be disappointed if we finish as low as 5th. Below Hull.
Of course if RD's prediction of us to win from 5th is correct then I'm sure I'll get over a 5th placed finish pretty quickly.
1) Saints
2) Warrington (after a slow start)
3) Leeds
4) WIgan
5) Cats
6) Hull KR
7) Hull FC
Cas
9) Huddersfield
10) Wakefield
11) Salford
12) Toulouse
GF: Saints
CC: Leeds / Wigan / Warrington

| Unfortunately we dont have the firepower upfront again, blatantly obvious for a few years now and nothing done to rectify. Philbin is not a starting prop. He's an impact player. No point in having two halfbacks behind a beaten pack. We could finish as low as 7th

Interesting conclusion on Wigan. They came fourth last year without a pack and have signed a few props now and a player those in the know are saying will be the best halfback in the league. That's a bold prediction.
And Cas? Are you basing your optimism on Wire winning the Grand Final on Powell being a coaching god? And therefore them losing him makes them relegation candidates?

I don't think they'll be as far down as 8th but Wane being there completely undermines Matty Peet. I'd put good money on it all going wrong and Wane doing the head coaching duties by the end of the season.

Wigan I think are very weak by there standard.
A few years ago I got flak for predicting them to be near relegation. I was right, they were desperate for those 2 points back.
I predict another bitter season for them on the same bases as the previous bad prediction.
Yet they will comfortably be clear of relegation in 2022.
Cas looks bad, they’ve lost too many good players, but still comfortable, I don’t think they’ll be much between 7th to 10th, probably 2 points between them all. Toulouse and Wakey having their own mini league.

| I thought Toulouse had the weakest squad in the comp, and are now at risk of losing 4/5 players - including one of their best - due to players refusing the vaccine. I think they will be comfortably last, but hoping otherwise.

Genuine question: Who are the ‘those in the know’ claiming Cust will be the best halfback in the league? I’ve no doubt he will be better than the average SL half back, and suitable for a Top 6 side, but I’ve seen nothing that makes me think he’ll be a superstar above all others.

Favourite with Sky Bet to be man of steel.
Seems bizarre he’s more fancied than Williams who was great in the NRL, yet Cust didn’t get much game time, or Lomax whose been a quality SL half for years.
I think you’re assessment is correct, I’m hoping the bookies know more I do though.

What shortcomings apart from not being captain material? Think we'll finish 3rd and win it from there.

From the little I've seen of cust he reminds me of Michael monaghan (although not as good). He looks like a hooker who wants to play at 7. If Wigan end up playing him at 9 I reckon he'll be outstanding, keep him at 7 and I can't see him standing out.
