| An unproven Cade Cust at 8/1 (in a team that looks slightly less capable than Cats) but NRL stalwart Pearce at 12/1. Interesting. On what criteria do the bookies base the prices?
For us I’d put my money on Clark shining under Powell’s influence.
Maybe French for Wigan over Cust (if he’s fit). Tomkins for Cats. Sezer for Leeds although I actually think they’re a little bit overrated at this point. Wouldn’t have Welsby as the Saints pick, I don’t think he has enough influence yet. Maybe Lomax will have his year.

Interesting, as I wasn’t particularly impressed by Lomax last season and think he is on the wane. I suspect he will miss Coote more than anyone.

| Williams at that price with a coach who has had 4 players win man of Steel under him is worth a serious wager!

You know what? That’s a great call. Powell spent 8 years at Cas and coached MOS for 50% of that time. That’s some statistic, even for the most sceptical.
In fact, I’m pumping my last pennies on Jack Hughes for MOS 2022. You won’t be laughing this time next year when I’m a billionaire.

| We wont get a MOS winner we have too many players to share points around. Widdop, Williams, clark, Currie, ratchford, Ashton, King. This could well be robys last season, i would lump on him personally.

That’s true, it’s harder to stand out if you’ve got a bit of competition. But that would also mean we’d have all our stars firing, so let’s hope that’s the case.

| I don't know how sky bet have come up with this but Harry Newman is 150-1. He is in the same bracket as a lot of prop forwards. If he is the chosen one as a lot of people say then worth a fiver for a £755 return.
I know that centres, wingers, props and second rowers rarely win MOS so Newman is a wildcard bet so will have to look at the odds for hookers and half backs for more sensible options.

Always a difficult task to pick the MoS before the season kicks off, and not something I've ever had a punt on.

Hope it was worth all the rummaging down the sides and back of your sofa.

Sky's prices are normally naff. Better having a punt with Hill's or Sporting Index.

For those who are not clued up with betting and Hughes is 150/1 just to quote a figure and you throw £10 on him you lose £10
