| I know he is going at the end of the season, but after recent events, I would get rid of Price now and give it to Lee for the rest of the season. He can’t do any worse and might just turn things around, no expectations and the players must just up their game and give him the send off he deserves, with price we will go backwards after the weekend. Get rid now, Intrested in others views

| Just on the getting rid of price thing, we've potentially got Hendo going to leigj shortly, if those 2 go, and we promote Briers, he's gonna be short handed in a job he's never done before, that's definitely setting us up to fail

A thought of wisdom there.
Could set up an Anderson return, however if he is successful, and I’ve little doubt he wouldn’t be with our rich pickings, you’d expect him to then move on to another head role and leave the youth area that he’s been doing so well with. Catch 22.

| I wouldn't have thought so, from what I hear he's content on working junior development.
Now I think about it, I cant say I've seen him around the club much with everyone else, even on a match day.
Any North standers ever see him on the bench or around the players area (pre covid) on a match day?

I hadn`t considered that before, but I have never ever seen him on matchday in the North Stand when the 1st team are playing.

| I think both Briers and Henderson have been restricted to a certain level with the coaching, get rid of price now, Powell in now would be a massive advantage for next season but can’t see castleford letting him go no they are in the final.

What makes you think Powell would want too?

| I’ve said before, we’ll never know who is responsible for the ineffective coaching being on the outside, until the assistants get a chance to prove themselves. Having been an assistant coach, I know just how frustrating it can be having to implement plans and systems that you principally do not agree with, but that is your job. You trust the plan, trust the system and ultimately trust the board. However; it is up to the board to assess the system, is it working? If not, why not.
Lee could be a great coach, could be. But we don’t know yet. He’ll get his chance, likely to be somewhere else, but we may see him back down the line.
I’ve said elsewhere, we face a really tough run. If we drop points against Wakefield, we are staring down the barrels of missing the play offs should we not get something from Wigan, Saints and Leeds multiple times. Both Hull clubs, Leeds and Huddersfield will fancy their chances of making the play offs, Cas if they can turn things around too. I think we’re one or two bad results away from a change.
The caretaker would be likely to have the “take the reigns off” approach and let this talented bunch play, as there is no deterrent. They won’t get the job regardless of results.
That said, Price has a habit of delivering just enough to stay above water. I expect a win against Wakefield, spirited go at Saints but fall short and then a win against Leigh which will paper over the cracks for another month or so.

Good move for him though, think he was held back here for some reason I can’t put my finger on.

Was it by spending most of his time playing golf?

Well he obviously wasn’t allowed to coach our attack so maybe playing golf was the best thing for him. I often asked the question what was he actually doing. So either he was not allowed to put his style in it or as you suggest he would rather play golf then yes it is a good move.

| Reminds me a little of when Brian Kidd had to leave United to prove himself elsewhere rather than being promoted from within.
Alright Briers is still an assistant but like Kidd he's gone to a smaller club from his home environment
