if Price is happy with Brown Austin and Patton for half backs next season i'd stick a bid in for Hayne as an option for a decent centre.

Not what he once was by a long shot but would give us a bit of box office and quality in the backs....
and can cover positions 1 to 6 if needed.

We were 6 and 8 points from getting something from 2 major finals. I think that difference can be more than met through Austin for Roberts....and so I'm very confident with the backs situation of Austin Brown Patton Livett Currie.

well I guess that kind of thinking is one of the reasons it will always be our year.....

For example the 1992-1993 squad which finished 8th position added the hopelessly ordinary John Thursfield for Duanne Mann and added the much ridiculed Craig Teitzel to the front row. surely we should have gone backwards into a relegation dog fight...

No we also added Jonathan Davies to the squad and he made a difference on a scale we haven't seen before. and finished joint top of the league settling for 3rd on goal difference (to use a soccer term).

settling for Livett who was hopeless for large parts of the season and praying Currie will even be a player next season will turn those 6-8 point losses into heavy defeats.

I wouldnt mind Drinkwater to partner Blake Austin, creative with go forward and a good goal kicker.
We could free up space on the cap by getting rid of that waste of space Brown who doesnt get involved in the game, ie: Grand final, goes missing in big games and has a boring kicking game, bang it up in the air and stands watching it, dosnt even chase his own kick. What about grubbers and 40 20, seams devoid of ideas like that.
