I hope you've seen more of Ashall-Butt than I have, hard to make a judgment on one TV game against London. Gubb is bog-standard, Mellor limited in the extreme.

Why would we want to get anyone from a Club that has only won 3 games all season, and why would we want anyone else from Leigh?
Mellor is the only Widnes player worth a look at the moment and anyone that was any good at all at Leigh is long gone. I’d reserve judgement on Thompson until the end of the season.

Wouldn’t want Gelling at all. Takes too many risky options, both on and off the field.

He does do daft stuff but a class centre....
