| At what point do we start to worry about them? They're killing it atm and have now leap frogged Hull, only 3 wins behind us and the way we're getting edged out of games I admit I can easily see them coming up on us if we aren't careful.

| Well, if we only win 2 of our 7 matches then Hudds would need to win 6 of their matches (or draw one, win 5). So for me, that is quite unlikely, particularly as we have 4 home games and they have only 3. Lets not forget that we have only lost away matches to the top 2 teams by a very small margin. Form suggests that the current top 4 will still be the same after the S8's
But another way to look at it is to say that if we lost 5 of the S8's, we wouldn't have much chance of winning a semi final and getting to OT anyway, so it's not worth bothering about.
I think Price needs to focus on getting rid of all these very silly penalties, looking at a different player to take the drop goals (Patton would be available in the last 20 min of the game), and practicing attacking moves in the oppositions 20-30 m area.

It’s more like 7 points with the massive points difference.

| Considering how they are playing lately,i could imagine one or all of Hudds,Wakey & Catalans being potential banana skins for any or all of the traditionally big teams .

| Huddersfield are in a similar situation to what St Helens were last year. Saints made the top four when Salford fell away.

Obviously, I can’t see us falling away like Salford, our squad is too good and it would take a disastrous run of injuries to stop us from making top 4 , I’m more concerned about what we can do to make top 2 , a few players need to step their game up and Challenge Cup may be a factor in how we finish

| We only need to worry about 5-8 when/if they introduce a 4 vs 5 play off game.

| For me this year is a free hit for Wire. It’s Price’s first year. I don’t think we’re a particularly good side and we have gaps in our team that even Clark and Austin don’t fully make up for next year.
Our issues are: no pace in the pack/lack of depth in the front row/Currie a huge loss/no leader in the halves/inconsistent players dotted around the squad/poor kickers/poor execution of the end of sets near the opposition line/terrible execution of drop goals at the end of games/could be better at left wing and right centre...
Outside that great run of wins (8 in a row), our season has been quite poor (W6 D1 Licon_cool.gif. That run of form from the 8 wins in a row is long gone and we’ve won just 7 games out of 15 against the other top 8 sides all season, that’s just 46% (4 out of 11 against the other top 6 sides, that’s just 36%).
With our issues as a squad and the form/trend we have against the other top 8 sides, at this rate if we win 46% of our seven Super 8 games that is just 3 wins!
At least it’ll keep the Super 8s interesting
