Is now the time to accept we are going to be playing in the middle eights,but instead of persisting with the favourites in the team lets look at who is staying,and the young lads in particular,and play them consistently.Perhaps some of their errors are caused by the constant fear that one mistake will see them dropped again. I think this will then give us time to at least have a stable committed group of players who will be quite capable of securing our future for next season
We have a very important task for the rest of the season. Our exit from the cup competition will help us focus and give us valuable rest. Wembley is fun ... but it would have been a huge distraction.
I see it as a blessing that we're out now with a respectable score. Plus we get to rest a bit more...
If we had progressed to the final and played Cas, It would have been an absolute rout. Like watching a cavalry charge through a visually impaired historical reenactment society.
