I'm sure it's just been taken out of context and badly edited. For a moment I thought he was crediting the bad start to the coaching staff, but I think it's just been quoted wrongly and the credit but refers to the "success" of last year?

That quote implies the players are not panicking about their poor start, and Sims is crediting Smith for this calm thinking I guess...
Not that it makes a difference, its what they do on the field that counts... and that's 3 competitive games this season, 3 losses, with Wigan next.
