| I have not heard much about the world club challenge recently. The last news in Oz papers said that they were thinking of holding it in Australia, but the Aussies were not very keen on a three team competition. Either way the two spots over here normally go to the LLS and GF winners so we will more than likely be involved. If it is in Oz though, I wonder if Wire will hold their pre-season summer camp over there and play some training sessions and or friendlies prior to the game ? Surely a good opportunity for the club to build further contacts with their counterparts ( as long as nobody lures away the likes of Daryl Clark !).

| On the latest Roger Draper column (WG) he talks about this. Just can't find the link.
From what I remember, he said if we were involved and it was in Aus, they might do pre season out there. If not, they've provisionally booked into the usual warm weather facility in the Canaries.

| Trust our luck. Wait 20 years for a WCC and then have the rug pulled from under your feet.
Have it in Oz next year.

| We went from guaranteed 3rd to guaranteed 2nd within a week....I think us and Wigan have an excellent chance of beating the 2 NRL finalists.
Sorry Hull.

| I read something today about Melbourne thinking about dropping out unless they can get a bigger payout than 100k dollars. Apparently they view it as a trial match which disrupts their schedule too much. Not sure how much truth there is in that. It's disappointing but hopefully that will end up being wigans problem as we'll be playing Cronulla.

| I would rather not play Melbourne Storm thank you ...
if anyone thinks Shaun Wane employs dodgy tactics at Wigan then you should watch Craig Bellyache's Storm play.
the Aussie media all blew up When Mick Ennis Patted Cameron Smith on the head after a knock on (to a lesser extent when he did it again in the final). but they dont say a word when Smith rammed his knee into the back of Jarrod Croker while he was minding his own business celebrating a try.
Melbourne are the filth of the Rugby World but because Cameron Smith is who he is he gets away with all sorts.
We'd end up with half a squad before our season even starts if we had to play them mongrels.....

| Looks like as suggested Melborne dont want to play in the SC Series if its in the UK, They dont see the point in playing a "trial" game two weeks before the season starts. Sort of understandable but they need to look at the bigger picture of trying to grow the game and giving there players new experiences if they play over here. Anyway having read some Aussie Journalists comments it looks like the WCC Match between the two GF winners will play the Sharks in Aus!

Why did you even bother to read it then?
I'll discuss if you don't mind thank you.

| Whatever the result on Saturday is it affects us. Win and we play Cronulla (likely in Aus). Lose and we should play Melbourne, depending on what they decide (although i dont think they should be given a choice) potentially at home.
Personally, next year we are planning to go to Aus for 3 weeks to coincide with Origin to see one of them and also some NRL games alongside all the normal tourist things. If we did win and played Cronulla in Aus, then thats a big decision. Watch the Wire or watch Origin? Probably wont have the money ready for a WCC game in February however i may be forced to use Credit Cards to see it IF and thats a big IF we win on Saturday.

It was meant as a "put our efforts into supporting the team in the final" and not veer our thoughts, nasty knickers
