| ...apparently ready to pack his bags & leave Perpignan. Would he be a good buy for our full back position or should the club work on developing Jack Johnson ?

| I honestly believe that Gidley is the missing link We've been yearning for. who is the one player we never fully replaced? Brett Hodgeson. Gidley chiming in as that 3rd Privot is the answer to our fullback fiasco

| fullback is one of the most important positions and it is rare that a team has real success without a specialist No1. We have tinkered around with that position since Hodgson left. I thought Gidley would be the answer. Our game plan lends itself to a fullback more like Brent Webb or Paul Wellens in that they were pretty solid in defence and supported breaks down the middle (rather than acting as a third pivot on shift plays) I would be a bit happier if Ratchford did less jumping out of DH but supported the players that do jump out of DH.
How many times does Clarke, Dwyer, Russell, Evans etc jump out and find retreating defenders but no support. We are fixated by the next quick PTB that we forget to support a scoot from a quick PTB.
I don't want to see Ratchford at DH but supporting players that have just scooted. A defence can deal with a quick PTB by simply conceding meters if there is nobody in support.

| Think he'd fit in well at Cas. Their open game would suit him.

Against Wigan I lost count of how many times Clark caught the markers off guard. he was making meters for fun and busting the gap behind the ruck. All it took was for a speedster or tbh anyone really hitting a support line and they would have been away. Yet every time he was on his own to take the tackle. by the 3rd time I thought some of our lads would have clicked onto it but no. I mean. that (aside from his unreal defence) is the one thing you think about when you think of Daryl Clark. his work around the ruck. Unbelievable.
