So to make the game more "family friendly". Warrington have proposed (and I believe it will be trialled) that Thursday games kick-off at 7.30 instead of 8pm.

Benefit :-
Its half and hour early so might help with the "kids need to go to bed for school" problem
Reduction in pre-game drinking time may improve the behaviour of some

Problem :-
SKY want 8pm, so it will end up being 8pm
7.30 or 8pm wont make that much of a difference to some of the kids kicking empty bottles around the South Stand, they are usually hyper by 9pm anyway.
Its going to be a problem for those people working at the games, many of whom have full-time jobs and wont be able to make it to the ground in time.
Those fans that "just about make it" for 8........wont.

From the clubs FB page ...... "Wolves have proposed the idea of a 7.30pm kick-off which is being trialled during the Super 8s. The RFL are now asking for a wider opinion on Thursday night fixtures as a whole." ............... unfortunately doesnt answer whether SKY will or wont be involved in it.

Thanks. It would make the traffic a bit worse driving to Warrington for me, but if it means more kids I suppose that is fair enough.

I already can't get to Thursday games for 20:00, never mind 19:30.

Will it even attract more kids? Or will it just please the parents of kids who already go? What's half an hour to kids' bedtime anyway?

7:30 is a nuisance for me also . I don't get in from work till 6pm . By the time I've had my tea and the three S's it'll be 6:45 . No chance of a pre match pint .

I've got a new idea. Whey not play all our games at 3pm on a Sunday.
It's been about 20 years since we tried that.
