Both Hull and Widnes lost today which gives us a bit of a let off for our unacceptable effort of a performance on Friday.

It doesn't make our run-in any easier however it should have given our lads a bit of time to have a look at themselves in the mirror and really step up for the remaining weeks.

As poor as we've been in a number of games, there is a reason why there are a number of teams below us in the table and those sides will lose further games. So no excuses from the players now...play for their lives for the top 8, live with finishing anywhere within the 8 by September and go again next season.

So we've had a good moan (and rightfully so) maybe let's try thinking positive for four games left in the rest of the full league season though?

We are now relying on the likes of Hull and Widnes losing... Dark times indeed..

If we win our game in hand over wakey by a few points u drop to 8 and the dobbins win their game in hand by alot of points u go 9 so i like to u no if u feel safe in the top 8 n who you got to play

I get your point Buckley as you say we need to improve and the team do have it in them, a few players returning from injury along with hopefully an upturn in form who knows, the teams with games in hand have to back that up.

My worry at the moment is the apparent lack of creativity.

Two places to play for. There's lots of "if"s. Salford, who have 13 points (also have 10 points to play for), have players back fit (played very well on Friday by all accounts) and have to play HullKR twice and could beat them both times and get themselves in the mix as well if our two sides keep losing. Catalans will be in the 8 safely IMO. Currently Hull KR have the longest winning streak and Widnes have the longest losing streak. All could easily change as we're all so inconsistent and so mediocre. With average teams, you never know what might happen. We can be as as we can be brilliant or just plain average so you never know.

I've got a feeling 22 points may get you in the 8. 23+ points will almost certainly get you in the 8.

Stop the melodrama. You will make the top 8 so easily and will no doubt be back to your cocky best within a month. You might even be top 4 by the split.

First thing, you will win both your home games. I'm fact you will win your next three. Wigan are a state this season, an absolute mess away from the Pie Dome. Their away performances over the last 18 months have been truly shocking. Then you will walk over Wakey and beat Saints. You could beat us with our first choice playing, but with McDonnell also out for the season with a snapped achilies joining Makinson and Lomax on the injury list we're there for the taking.

Huddersfield will collapse come the final 8 games given their results against the big teams this season. Cas will push you close, but you will get 4th.

It is definitely not as clear cut as ''saddened!'' makes out. Home games are must win really now, lads have got to fire at the HJ for them. Wakey away has got to be a win (everyone else magaes it so hopefully) and Cas away will be a tough game but if they are confirmed in the 8, I can see us getting the win.

We haven't hit any good form at all year except against Leeds twice so this has got to come at some point, hopefully sooner rather than later.
