Unless there is a marked improvement in our play, I can really see Ben Curries next contract including a Quantas ticket. Cannot see him wanting to stay here when Austrailia comes calling, and they will.

Come on, the lad's good, but let's not big him up too much.

He showed great promise 2 or 3 years ago, then regressed hugely, within months.

We've seen improvements again, but he's only a few games away from mediocrity again.
Biscuit summed him up well, on last night's game thread (page 6). Yes, he did some good stuff, but lacking in the work rate department. It's nice to see him going 50 yards with ball in hand, but he needs to do a lot more spadework to help out the likes of Westwood and Harrison, who do more than their share. I LOVE to see quick running second rowers (hence my love for Mark Roberts), but not to the expense of his defensive duties.

The lad's not Wayne Pearce. Let's try and keep his feet on the ground. Not like a certain bald Yarkshire commentator, who's comments on him are getting a little too OTT. He's doing well. I hope he improves a lot more, and THEN, offer him a better contract. There are too many "BillyBigBiscuits" young sportsmen who show potential, then start stamping their feet for huge contract improvements.

About 8 weeks ago on here there was a ridiculous topic on here titled "Ben Currie is a coward" ... So like Lefty says in a couple of weeks time , two bad games and we're shipping him out again. Thats what you're dealing with on here sadly .

I couldn't agree more Briers Boots , i was just highlighting some of the absolute rubbish that gets posted on here . Bens a fantastic young Talent and he's gonna go right to the top of this game , but a couple of below par performance in the future and we'll see the same old garbage being spouted on here .

My simple message to Currie is not to read the RL papers or listen to the praise from plaudits or knockers alike.
Just keep your head down and work hard.
