| We passed an important milestone on Sunday, it seems to have gone un-noticed by everyone including the club;
How many players did Wire field against HKR that came through our youth academy ?
and
Can anyone remember the last time we had that many ?
Good article for Mike Parsons and/or Ben Lazenby I would have thought.

| 7 and doubt we have ever had that many in a game.
12 in our 29 man squad.

Just as important is the fact that since the end of the 2013 season there has been so much change to what was essentially an ageing team. The additions of Russell, Clark and Wheeler have also brought the average age of the squad down.

| We had that many last year a couple of times I'd imagine whilst the year before we had as many as eight home-produced players in the seventeen.

| Having seen a few games from him now, I really like the look of Philbin.

| I like me some Joe philbin as well.
He's refreshing in that he's not yer typical SL academy kid coming through in recent years, 6 foot 3, sixteen stone, very upright.
He's got a look of Steve mccurrie about him in a way.
Plus he's built on his performances over the last three weeks, big raps for the lad.

| Laithwaite and Currie well ahead on top tackle stats for us on Superleague website. The pack has real potential given the ages of those two, Evans, Philbin, King and Clark. King is deceptive - still very rangy and could live with another stone or so (like Currie) but makes good yardage and has great hands and vision.

its great to see warrington progressing their juniors into 1st team footy and in greater numbers
rhinos had 10 out of their starting 17 last night that were club produced which is an amazing feat by the club

| I wonder how Danny bridge and Glenn Riley are feeling looking at our team at the moment, was last season just too much early on in the transition, and too much asked or expected of Riley?
Was it 12 months too soon, or were they just not good enough?

| Personally, i don't think they're good enough but time will tell.
Look at Philbin, he looks the part already.
Currie and Laithwaite have just slotted in and both are machines in defence.
I doubt Riley and Bridge will play for Wire again.

| Whilst coaching the round ball game our team were in the same league as Culcheth and they had this larger than life character who was either striker, goal keeper and/or defender depending on the need of the team, he was bloody good wherever they played him, take a bow Joe Philbin. What a prospect he is now for the Wolves. He was again very good on Friday hope he keeps the momentum goingicon_smile.gif
