You are wrong with regards the option to re-sign a player.....the precedent is the move of Iestyn Harris to Bradford Bulls. Chris Caisley went along the same scenario that you are quoting.
A law suite from Leeds was defended by the Bulls, but eventually they had to pay massive legal fees for BOTH clubs,& also pay Leeds a significant transfer fee. The money that Bradford lost in this fiasco was a major cause of their demise.
With regards to the Tom Walker move to Workington, it seems strange that this move has been announced in the same week as the partnership with North Wales Crusaders. I would imagine that the Crusaders can`t be very happy about losing the opportunity of Tom Walker playing for them in 2015. I realise that Workington are Walkers`s local club, & maybe its was the only way of Wire retaining an interest in him, if he has personal reasons for a move home....Hopefully only temporary?
As a regular watcher of the Under 19`s team I have been very impressed by Tom Walker, especially his game against Hull KR when he bulled virtually the whole Hull KR pack, & came out on top.
