who would you rather have coaching the next generation hookers....Monas or Richard Agar.........seems the club missed a big opportunity, surely they could have found a spot for him afterall coaching staff don't count on the salary cap

There are not many full-time coaching positions at any club. Unfortunately no space at Warrington.

Assistant at Bradford?

I dont see it as sentiment, he is a class player and his experience would only help to coach the forwards in the future.
I cant see it being Bradford as it is a SL club, I am sure someone on here will know where he is going!

Apparently he was asked to help out at Bradford by Lowes, don't know why that didn't come off.

I see it as total sentiment

Monas needs development as a coach.
We don't need a hooker coach.
The young lads we feed through the ranks can already play hooker if that was his junior trade.
It's structure to play in a particular coaches preference that the hooker only requires...and that can only come from the coach himself.

Monas can offer very little to TS as an assistant if anything at all, Agar can. Remember it's TS who needs the assistance!

Agar will have ideas the TS can bounce back. Perhaps it won't be always are years after all.

I have some sentiment for Monas, don't get me wrong.
Go away, learn the trade and come back a coach like Brian Johnson did. Probably a poor example but I think you get the idea.

We can only have so many coaches and we can only appoint a limited number of ex-players.
I'd have Monas back in a flash to coach.
I'd like to think that he'd learn his trade over the next few years then come back to us.

He'll stay this side of the world until Joel call's it a day more than likely and they'll both head home and get a job in the NRL coaching structure.
