crikey the caption of the finger in the eye doesn't look good but when you look at the whole tackle I think you can give the benefit of the doubt to Hardacker, he isn't looking at his hand or Hills face, I doubt he's that clever to gouge some one in the eye and look away at the same time.

If I can add though....... this does sort of Highlight our softness these days imagine if that was on Peacock, or O'loughlin, they would have erupted like a holy mother chuffer swinging arms and then ranting at Refs until something was done.
I didnt even know that had happened till I saw Hills black eye on watching the recording, Chris Hill and a few others needs to get some Mongrel in them, we take all sorts of with embarrassingly good grace these days, Hopefully Ashton Simms will bring some extra balls with him when he comes next season. (figuratively speaking by the way thats not a pop at Woody)

taking the photo alone as evidence as I didnt see the incident in the game it does look worse than Hocks eye gouge on Harrison . you could say he's got his fist on Hills face which is most likely to happen in a tackle so then you ask yourself why has one finger been unfurled and ended up in his eye socket???

Gaz hocks eye gouge was actually less dangerous than Hardakers as no fingers went in the eye socket like hardaker - Hock probably didnt do him self any favours by following it up with an uppercut.

I'd like to see the incident in the game to see what the reaction was as when Hock unleashed his fingers all hell broke loose even Matt King steamed in....

Hardaker is a bigoted, horrible little scrote who fits-in well with some of his team mates.

1.47:20 on the iPlayer. It's absolutely nothing at full speed.

In the replays it's clear Hardaker's hand touches Hill around the eye (not into the socket), but it's when he's trying to get his hands round Hill to wrap up the ball with Hill over the goal line. At full speed you can see his hand come away from the face as soon as he's touched it. There is no way anyone "goes" for the eyes there. The video ref and commentators also don't notice anything wrong over five slo-mo replays. Hill doesn't complain either. As a rugby player he'll have been poked or scratched in the eye accidentally many times before.

Don't bother! Most Wire fans have accepted the result with good grace. It's a couple of losers trying to make an issue out of nothing.
