| There are 3 of us planning on riding our motorcycles down to Perpignan for the game, looking at setting off on the Tuesday before the game, arriving on the Thursday pm.
I'm just wondering if anyone has done this before and would like to pass on any helpful hint/tip/routes to take?
Or if anyone else is doing similar, whether they'd fancy a meet up somewhere on route? ... we're not weirdos or anything... promise

| The furthest I went on my bike was Abersoch so not sure how long your driving stints would be.
Northwest to South Coast then tunnel for me. Stoping overnight Tuesday in boulogne (premier classe).
Get up bright n early and toe it down the toll roads don't bother with side Roads the juice is expensive in service stations but its less hassle. Sat navs on for the speed cameras though technically its illegal I think.
Paris ....eyes open and plenty of life savers. .. they aim cars they dont drive them .... and the scooters I Hate them. Driving everywhere in France is much better than over here but paris is just every man for himself. Last time we drove I missed the place out altogether.
Not sure what your mid france stop would be? Claremont ferrand is pretty central and you'll be glad to get there having followed the sign for it for about 400 miles. !!!
then the last leg ...the warmer bit and the spectacular milau Bridge...
The toll roads are great rarely are they rammed. And plenty of rest areas. .
Goes without saying check your bike insurance, Get travel insurance, and Good European Road side assistance/recovery just in case. ..
sounds a cool way to get down there.

| We are doing the Wazza - Perpignan trip later his year for a holiday. Stopping overnight just outside Clerment Ferrand in a lovely hotel. PM me you want details of the hotel.
On the way back because of an error in dates we are doing the Perpignan -Calais trip in one day, we will have four drivers but still it will be 11 hours in the Car.... Ouch!! We have been told to ensure we include the Millau bridge in our route because its awesome. Also been told that High Vis jackets are mandatory on a Bike in France but obviously check that out

| PM me if you fancy a chat about your trip. We go away on the bikes every year and have stayed in La Rochelle previously.

If you're going on the A roads it will cost you a bit. If you're on the D roads watch out for the cameras. Loads at this time of year, plus police in plain cars with cameras.
