| Underrated player in my opinion, worked his socks off. The only problem for him was that Mick Monaghan was a world beater, and the difference was night and day. Jon was great, but was made to look, in hindsight, very average by a first class player.
He has gone on to do a good job at Widnes, by some distance their best player last year. I would wish him well for the remainder of the season, but I can't will Widnes on, not even for you Jon.

| Here's another player like Pickersgill of doing 10 years across two clubs.
It would be fitting for Warrington and Widnes to offer them a joint testimonial...??

He did ten years at Warrington alone and got a testimonial

| I would have quite liked Clarke to stay around a bit longer, he wasn't just a hooker you could stick him in the back row and he could handle himself. He always put himself about and there was never any question that he was up for it. And a good player too, he should be pleased with his career!

Thanks I remember now. It was granted even though he moved on I think.

| He was good and got better as he aged. never his biggest fan when he was playing from dummy half.
Gleeson Wood and Sullivan were much quicker at the play.

| A point in Clarke's favour was he was one of the players that was capable of playing well when the team wasn't.
One of the weaknesses in the current team is we have a few players that are like barometers for the team's performance, when we play well they tear teams apart, when we are under the kosh from another team they go missing.
Clarke, like Wood, Westwood and Briers, was one that could play well in a garbage team performance and be in good form when the team was getting beaten every week. (Grix, Hill and Waterhouse are in this category from the current team).

| Jon Clarke, the REAL person responsible for the kicking we gave Bradford bulls back in 2005, better known as the Chris bridge game

| Good luck to him but can't believe the love-in on here. The kindest thing I can say about him as a hooker is that he was 'limited'.
