I have been critical of his attitude for a few years now but tonight he was one of a select few that actually played like he gave a damn. He seemed to be the only one fighting the tackle and pushing to get back to his feet. Nobody else was doing that, they just lay on the floor waiting for the st helens players to get off them. What we were playing at I don't know. We rarely tried, you can bet that saints would have kept trying to find a way back into the game until the final hooter, we never did. Bridge, Higham and GOB forme tonight, maybe Joel. Everyone else might well have just not put on their boots.

Bridge did very well without getting much ball. In regard to Atkins....no comment.

Atkins has been terrible since the end of 2012, size has dropped, his speed has dropped massively and so has his strength

Did you hear it right? Did he say possibly getting fired last 18 months?

When Stevo praised Atkins in the first 3 mins it was because he thought Bridge was him. He credited Atkins for the money ball to Joel.
Nobody on sky picked up on it.

Perhaps Bridgey knows that he has both Rhys Evans and Russell ready to chime into that backline. If that pushes Chris onto the kind of consistent, quality performance we all know he is capable of then great, and Atkins can start programming his sat nav for Swinton.

I think I must have been watching a different game !
Joel , Trent , Hill were good everyone else was utter garbage especially Bridge , Myler , Atkins and Chris Riley who were the worse four players on the pitch

Don't post much on here but Padders you must be on a wind up, Bridge was one of the few Warrington players to come out of the game with any credit.

If you come on here more often you will realise that Padders isn't Chris Bridge's biggest fan.

However at least he is not fickle in his views, he is consistent.

When Bridge was underachieving in his early years, Padders told us he was rubbish
Then Bridge became one of the top centres in SL, Padders told us he was rubbish

Stevo was going on about the centre/wing partnership of Atkins and Monaghan and I'm fairly sure they've never played on the same side of the pitch.

One of the few bright sides of the game was that pass from Bridge.....sheer quality centre play.

Unfortunately they did play on the same side in one case....
At the end of the game.
I think it was our last of only a handful of scoring chances we had.
Atkins came out of position again but in attack as opposed to defence on this occasion. He put himself between the pass out to the right and Bridge. He took the ball and knocked on. Certain scoring chance gone that would have been on if Bridge had have received that pass.
