RFL announce that after the split into 3 leagues of 8 that the teams finishing 4th and 5th will play in a sudden death play off to decide who gets the last top flight spot for the next season, as the top 3 will go up automatically.
also a new sponsorshop deal is suppost to be announced today that is said to be with a utilities company.
i suppose the return of a playoff match is good and surely the importance of the game will attract a good crowd. does anyone think that the fact it is 4th vs 5th in the 2nd division will have a bad effect on the game or will the occasion make that not important?
i also like the fact how championship clubs will be recieving upto 650k up from the 90k that they now recieve i think this will make it a little more competitive in the second division between the top championship clubs and the bottom super league clubs who will recieve in the region of 1 million.
positive steps or just trying to justify madness?

The fact the bottom two go down no matter who it is should make this year more interesting.
Hopefully SL2 with extra funding will make CC more competitive and make the game more attractive for future sponsors.

Apparently this is only half the good news as there will be a co-sponsor; Calvin Klein. And the RFL will be making a short video commercial to celebrate the event, with Lilly Allen singing one of her songs - can't remember which one though.
