| Now we have had time to reflect, what memory of Lee Briers will live longest in the memory?
There's been plenty, but a few stand out for me:
The drop goal in the 2006 play off win at Leeds
The intercept to win away at the Boulevard in 2002
The try under the sticks against Bradford at home in 2004
But for me, it's got to be the drop goal at Hull KR in 09. Massive kick to shape the future of the club

| Too many to think of but Leeds 2006 in the playoffs and the Wigan semi 09 stick out.

| Importance - Hull KR 1/4 final winner 2009
Pleasure - the semi final in 2009
Low Point - watching him waste his time playing full back in a shocking team under Steve Anderson

| I enjoyed the 17-17 game at Wilderspool, nothing special about that game only the fact he must have had a million attempts and landed it with literally the last kick of the game.

| 1. Drop goal in the Challenge Cup quarter final at Hull KR in 2009
2. Winning Lance Todd at Wembley against Leeds in 2010
3. Drop goal to win the playoff at Headingley in 2006
4. Drop goal to win at Headingley in 2002 when we were in a relegation scrap (that away win against a top team was an unexpected and priceless bonus)
Low point - at loss at Halifax in 2002 when he kicked 5 drop goals but finished on the losing side. We were a point up with a minute or so to go, and he kicked out on the full near our own line. Cardiss scored for them right in front of us and they played "celebrate good times come on".

| Low point - his premature retirement. Absolutely gutted.
High points
1. Semi final performance against Wigan in '09
2. Drop goal to win the playoff at Headingley in 2006
3. Lifting the CC trophy with Moz in 09
4. Winning the Lance Todd trophy in 10
There must be more but those spring to mind.

| All of the above plus.......
Sitting in the stand and applauding his own try only to be subsequently upstaged by Nat Wood.
Always stealing at least 5 yards before kicking to touch.
Loads of interceptions - too many to count

| I really can't think of one stand-out moment or match from his career.
So either the old grey matter has finally succumbed to years of hammer, or the man produced literally hundreds of moments of skills, breathtaking audacity or crucial interventions to the extent that we, certainly I, came to take them for granted. I retain at least one priceless memory of all the players I have loved, and love, in the P&B down the years but in Lee's case the exceptional quality has merged into one.
I still wouldn't rule out the grey matter theory though.

| Anyone remember the tap penalty that never was? He waved the ball in the general direction of his knee then sneaked over the line while defence were still waiting for him to play the ball.
Not that I'm bitter or anything.
Personally I think he improved a lot with age adapting his game with experience despite inevitably slowing down physically as the best players seem able do.
