| Did anyone else go to this last night? It was a great night and good to hear Lee talking frankly on some subjects.
I also have to say that Brian Carney was a great host and asked some really good questions. Feeling a bit rough today in work though after a few too many shandy's.  |

Yes i went, really enjoyed it. Great to listen to Lee speak about all things good and bad over the years.... i didn't have too much to drink though, as Mrs Deckchair gave birth on Nov 21st to a little girl, so i was on feeding and bum wiping duties all night.

I am trying to remember what he said, wish I didnt get so bloody drunk now! He was talking about the GF saying the Wigan defeat was easier to take than the Leeds one as we were decimated by injuries and he himself was injured but had to play on.
He talked about Van Der Velde saying he was well ahead of his time but his man management skills were shocking. When asked about Steve Anderson he didn't say anything at all which spoke volumes. He was very frank to be honest and talked of how angry he was when Saints didnt let him travel to the CC final which was the straw that broke the camels back for him. |

Great & emotional night, lots of laughs & a few tears shed. A great rendition of THERE'S ONLY ONE LEE BRIERS to bring it to a close. Wouldn't has missed it for the world.

Talked about how he had trials with Liverpool but ultimately chose RL. Also said his perception of Tony Smith was he was very arrogant but said that completely changed when he first met him and his man management is unbelievable.
Overall was a great night, and a great way to salute a soon to be official legend of the club.
