| ...or is anyone else feeling really calm for the weekend, and just looking forward to a great game of RL?
From reading some on here, you'd think we were well out of our depth, and talk of nerves this far out surprises me.
I'm not saying I'm supremely confident we'll win-I think we'll rightly start as favourites, but with no guarantee of success, but know if both teams play to their best we'll come out on top.
But there was a time I was worried I'd never see us win anything. 160 minutes in August 2009 changed all that, the first 80 versus the Pies, when we showed how Smith had changed our mentality. We've proven we can finish top, and now all doubt has gone about our ability to make the GF.
I hated last year's GF-I've been to all but one, and I enjoyed it least of all, cos I'd built it up to mean too much. My thoughts this year are completely different. It's still a massive game-bigger than last year I'd say, with it being a derby-but I've got faith that we're now a club who belongs in these kind of games, if not every season, a bit more frequently that once a generation.
So I'm just going to go, enjoy what will hopefully be a great game, cheer the boys come-what-may, and if the long wait ends, great. If not, I'll just keep on dreaming.
Either way, I'm proud to be a Wire, and after the years in the doldrums, just happy we've proven we're good enough to consistently be able to get to, and win, the games that matter most.

| I think people are quietly going about their business but come Thursday or even Friday the reality will begin to dawn that we are 80 mins from what is the ultimate goal of everyone connected with Warrington from the Chairman to the cleaner to the one game a season fan. It's what we wanted. Saturday morning will be like Christmas day of yesteryear. I'm confident that if we keep to the revised game plan that we have utilised for the past few weeks then we are in the right mentality to succeed.
Sing your heart out for the lads.

| I'm on stupid o'clock earlies starting at 4am all this week, anyone that knows me well knows I struggle to wake up and then function properly at that time. This week I've been getting up no problem because I have all this nervous energy, grow up a Wire fan in predominantly Wigan fan school 99% and you know where the rivalry comes from and why this fixture means everything.
I wish I was calm.

| These things are relative aren't they? For a few years after we won the prem in 86 we were up there with Wigan, competing (but alas, often losing to the same team) in major games and finals and it felt the norm.
By the time we were back at Wembley in 1990 I was happy just to be there I had no expectation of winning, and a few years later just surviving in the top flight was enough - reaching a semi was a distant dream let alone winning something.
These days, we've sat at the head table and found we rather liked it. I'm nervous, and I probably won't be able to enjoy the spectacle, not because I don't think we can win, or expect us not to, but because I know we CAN and probably SHOULD. Being there isn't enough any more, I've had enough breadcrumbs, I want more cake.

| I feel the same NtW, the 2009 Challenge Cup win totally changed my life as a Warrington supporter, it took away the fear that I would never see us win anything and since then I have been more relaxed in general about rugby league.
I was more nervous for the Grand Final last year than I am this year. If I'm honest, the difference is last year I thought we were going to lose and this year I think we're going to win. Not sure what it was last year but I don't think I ever expected us to win, I watched the game in the Leeds end with a group of Leeds fans, the same lads I go with every year to the Grand Final who I knew from uni and this is one of our annual traditions. I think if I'd have really expected us to win I would have never done that and would have gone with my family in the Wire end like I do for Wembley, but I went with the Leeds lads and I wasn't even that gutted when we lost.
This year I feel different and am not going with my Leeds mates for the first time since 2005. I told them I didn't want to book tickets with them because I thought we would win and want to be with Wire fans when it happens. It was really from the second half against Leeds where Briers and Michael Monaghan ripped them, I just got the feeling that its the business end of the season and we're the team playing best and we are going to win. These last three weeks have been the only time in my 24 years of being a Wire fan that I have felt we going to win the title.

| As far as rugby is concerned I've thought of nothing but Saturday since last year's final. The whole season has been one long inconvenience waiting for our moment to come, and losing again doesn't bear thinking about. I don't care how good a game it is or isn't, because as was the case last Thursday, nerves mean I won't enjoy a single second of it anyway.
I don't care about putting on a show and I don't care about any perceived rivalry with Wigan. All I care about is that when it's all over Warrington RLFC are champions.
In short, no I don't feel the same as you and I'm definitely not calm.

| I'm absolutely having kittens about every ten minutes, but I'm like that every time the Wire play. What I do know is come what may on Saturday, I'll always be a Wire, I might live out of the area now, but I'll always love my town and love my Club.

| Whenever this weekends game crosses my mind, I'm extremely nervous. Not because I don't think we can win, we can certainly win. I'm nervous because firstly it's the grand final, it's what the whole season boils down to and those 80 minutes determine whether we are champions or not. I'm maybe more nervous this year than last because I know how bad it feels to lose, and also because over the last 3/4 years our games with wigan have pretty much all been quality games, the atmosphere in front of 15/20 thousand people has been electric so to imagine all of that in a grand final it will be ten times more so. Also the fact it is a derby and can go either way makes it even more exciting. Now iv typed this I'm even more nervous but also excited and cannot wait for saturday to arrive.

| Not d to be honest. Wasn't overall bothered about the giants game either. Maybe am been cocky but I do feel we will win on Saturday.
Not nervous are having sleepless nights over this game like some. Come the end of the day is another 80 mins if RL nothing more nothing less.

| I am bricking it, as said above we have endured some torrid times as Wire fans over the last 25 years, this is the only real bout of success I have ever seen us have as I only moved over here in 1990.
The CC wins were immense but this Saturday is on another level for me!

| I can't wait. The week is dragging. It's all I can think about. Feel like a 6 year old waiting for Santa.
Not just the final, but the day, lead-up to the game, pre match, match, and hopefully post match celebration.
