I couldn't make the game and have been waiting to read a thread about it.

2 days later.... still no game thread.

Looks like an easy enough win on paper....

The game was very boring, not much from both sides, bit like a training session.

Very low intensity. Result never felt as if it were in doubt and we were comfortable in 2nd gear.

Certainly felt like the calm before the storm of the play offs.

Wakey gave it a go but the game never really got going. James Laithwaite started and looked good but it felt that we could turn the wick up if needed. Without Briers and Myler we did look a little disjointed but that was only to be expected. Joel and Mickey H were probably the stand-outs.

Mickey Higham again, i think he's earned at least a bench spot for England.

Always has been a 100%er IMO and never gets plaudits by some he really deserves.

Joel was excellent as usual.

Dwyer sparked our attack up as he did the previous week.

All told we never looked in any danger but barely bothered at times.

Fully summed up Super League right now. You had us, playing through the motions, up against a team that were so poor, they never placed the result in question.

It was funny watching Talima tonguetwister, the latest in a line of crappy Samoan forwards comenter here and look all menacing but end up being ineffective.


Not actual sure what the penalty was for when Westwood cleaned him out

Wakefields first try coming off a blatant moving off the mark, worse than Bridges the other week.

Hillly had a stormer , his running & passing is getting better & better & now he even does grubber kicks to the try line .

He looked like he tackled him front-on, to me.
