Well if you are wanting to watch the NRL, State of Origin and the Championship, then your choices are limited because Premier Sports only operate on the Sky platform.
So if you are still wanting to watch the Super League, then I'm afraid you are going to have to cough up for Sky Sports.
But in order to answer your question; yes I feel Sky Sports is worth the money. I not only watch the Super League, I watch the golf, the cricket, the football. I also subscribe to Premier Sports because it carries the NRL, the championship RL, the Gaelic Games and also the NHL, and I also get BT Sport/ESPN free for the next 12 months and in HD.
Definitely value for money.

| Premier Sports "Premier Player" is an online service that allows access to their sports package without the need for Sky.

Aah, that's pretty good. I just assumed that the player was for existing subscribers only, but if you can subscribe without the need for a sky subscription, then that is probably the best course of action for the OP.

Because BT Sport have taken over the running of ESPN and it now falls as part of the BT Sports package, and because Virgin don't carry BT Sport at the moment, then VM subscribers can no longer have access to ESPN.

| Yep were on Virgin, BT not an option because broadband speed through the phone line is extremely slow where we live, this also is the case if we went back to sky, thanks for the replies which were interesting

DOuble edged sword for me where I am. As it's a new development, at the moment we can't get superfast fibre optic internet, so have to make do with normal broadband. But with BT, get BT Sport free whereas everyone else has to pay nearly £15 for the privilege.

| If you know someone who is subscribed to sky sports, get them to allow you to use "Sky Go" in their name on your PC. That way you can watch sky sports. The quality is OK but not as good as the real thing.
