RUGBY LEAGUE NETWORKING MEETING
When: July 03, 2013
Time: 19:00 - 21:30
Venue: Yorkshire & Humberside Social Enterprise, Ebor Court, Westgate, Skinner Street, Leeds. LS1 4ND
Supporters Direct will hold a Networking Meeting for all Rugby League supporters trusts and community owned clubs on Wednesday, 3rd July at Yorkshire & Humberside Social Enterprise in Leeds city centre on Wednesday, 3rd July, 2013.
The event will be addressed by Blake Solly, the Rugby Football League’s Director of Standards & Licensing who will present the latest restructuring proposals for Super League and Championship Rugby League.
Discussion will take place on raising the profile of supporters trusts and community owned clubs within the game, and what Supporters Direct do within Rugby League to see how we can work more closely with the RFL and promote community ownership within the game to achieve the SD mission “ to promote sustainable spectator sports clubs based on supporters’ involvement and community ownership.”
The event is open to all Rugby League fans and is free to attend. Please register your interest by emailing: events@supporters-direct.coop

Is that the view of all in the trust? Be nice to have a collective view represented at such a meeting, perhaps an online poll can be setup for members? |

I agree with both the above posts - I think the plans are stupid and will create more problems than they solve but I also think getting a collective view would be good if possible. Trouble with polls is coming up with a balanced, unbiased set of questions can be tricky and no guarantee of getting a statistically valid response.

Ask a fan who thinks he's going to be unaffected and he'll say reduce Superleague.
Everyone else will vote for what keeps them in the money and playing with the big boys.
People won't vote for what is best for the game but rather what is best for them.

But the clubs who are more likely to get relegated are actually in favour of p&r, what I would like is a representative vote as a body supporters to put our voice into the this meeting, a simple yes/no to each proposal will suffice in the same way the "players union" has. |

I agree with that, all people professionally associated and all season ticket holders should get a vote after all they are the people most important to the games survival.
