| I didn't see the Salford game but TS certainly said that Currie was 'outstanding' in the match. However I had a look at the SL stats for the game, and was surprised to see that in addition to his two tries, Currie was also top tackler with 29. That was by some margin as well as the next best was 23. Currie seems to have been on a slow burn fuse for most of this season. He seems to have put in very solid performances without being outstanding. But it looks as though he has been making steady progress throughout those games. He started the year with two U19 games followed by one for Swinton. After that he has not missed a game with the 1st team (16 matches) and has established himself as a regular first pick. I find that surprising and have to admit I only thought he would play around 12 matches this year, as TS eased him into the team. He has certainly left the U19's behind him, and Harrison will now have a fight on for his place when he gets back from injury.
Perhaps we will see the same steady improvement to Currie's game that we have seen in Myler - he seems to have evolved gradually as well. But the best thing about Currie is his age - he will not turn 19 until next month, so we should have many years to enjoy his game. He captained the England Academy sides in their Oz warm up games last year, so perhaps he may even make future Wire captain ?

| What more can anyone add Chaz? He's performing well week in and out beyond the 'prospect' tag. His name on the team sheet doesn't fill me with any worry that the 17 is weak.
Given a slice of luck on the injury front, this lad can go all the way.

| Said it before we have a Real talent on our hands here one that will develop to international level and receive many accolades
What I like most is that the young man seems very grounded, normal and down to earth
For me he is a starting player now has excellent mobility which is something Harrison is struggling with due to number of injuries sustained over last few seasons

50086_1357229109.jpg [b:33tg3xj5]Me:[/b:33tg3xj5] I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
[b:33tg3xj5]knockersbumpMKII:[/b:33tg3xj5] Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm:d7dc4b20b2c2dd7b76ac6eac29d5604e_50086.jpg |

| He's going to be a superb player. I don't pay enough attention to Rogues' post to know what he is referring to but as Currie is from Wigan I assume he's saying he came to us because we pay him more and is implying he is greedy. Bovrilled. I don't understand why sports fans expect sportsman to behave differently than the man in the street. He has a talent and should try and bleed every penny out of his career whilst he can. He has a 5 year deal, when that expires, he should try and screw us for as much cash as he can. That's life.
RL landscape has changed forever. By the time he is 24, if not before, he'll be playing in Australia. I like Cooper and am pleased for him but if he can get an NRL gig, then Currie will be a stand out player. We need to make the most of him whilst we have him and ensure that we're well placed to replace him when he goes.

| EXCELLENT prospect along with Glen Riley and DANNY Bridge looking forward to seeing all three as first choice first team players next year as the old guard move out !
from what I have heard it is -
Carvell to Hull , Moz to Salford , Briers and Hodgeson to coaching staff Cooper to Aus
Emirates as new shirt and stadium sponsor

| The finest prospect since Mark Roberts...He showed a tremendous burst of speed for his second try vs Salford. I don't think anybody else at the club could have scored it. I wouldn't back against him being the fastest player at the club...He's not from Wigan, he's from Golborne which as you will be aware has the postal address of Warrington. Not the WA postcode like St Helens but the written address....He's no pie muncher.

Didn't Halliwell Jones recently extend their naming rights deal?
And losing Carvell would be a big mistake.

I'm pretty sure Currie is from Golborne.
Oops. Just seen HY's post.

| Yes, you are both correct, he played for Parkside. He was signed in July 2010, and since his birthday falls in that month I wouldn't mind betting that he signed on the day of his 16th birthday.
To my knowledge I think he has the longest contract of all the squad - 2017.

Yeah, but don't let the facts get in the way of a good rumour.

| There's also the fact that there's already an Emirates Stadium in this country.
