| Some interesting selection options coming up. Coaches normally say that the players can get up for the Friday and Monday Easter matches, but the tough one is always the following week. For us that is Leeds away. So I would imagine TS could well try and rest some of his pack for Widnes and the Bronco's in order to have a real chance of beating Leeds.
Laithwaite has not had a run out yet, Tyke seems to be out of form / favour and Harrison was not risked against Hudds. Are all three likely to play over Easter ?
Then there is Bert. I am really surprised he has played in all the matches so far, but presumably with GOB back, he will surely be rested for one game ?
Dwyer has been injured recently (hip), so he may not get a run. I would like to see Evans get a game though, even if it means putting him on the wing.

As much I wouldn't advocate playing a weakened team against Widnes for all the misery they caused me in '75 and without knowing how close Harrison was and the possible effects of their pitch on returnees, the I factor I think there is a chance of a bit of TS rotation.
Harrison to have a run, Ratchford at FB GOB in the halves? Then again if my predictions are anything to go by, there is more chance of John Bevan making a comeback on the wing

| Harrison not to be risked on plastic pitch! Come back at home v the Broncos I reckon.
I can see Brett playing v Widnes and then missing Broncos.
Tyke will get a run out v Broncos as well I reckon.

| It would be lunacy to lose one of the Widnes or Broncos games just for a chance to beat Leeds. And we know we're quite capable of losing to either one if we're daft.

| Play a strong side and rest whoever is carrying a knock, i can imagine whoever plays v Leeds will be massively fired up anyway, i can see a real fiery encounter for that. I'll be in the Leeds end with a couple of Leeds fan mates for that too.
Can't wait.
I would rest Brett though, have Ratch at 1 and GOB at 6 for both Vikings and Broncos.

| I think the game has changed from last year. There are what ?, 5-6 teams all within 1 point at the top of SL. So I don't see TS making 5-6 changes like he did last year for the Salford / Bronco games. But I would be surprised if he didn't rest say 1 forward for Widnes and 2 for Bronco's. But then again, my guessing has not been great this year.

| We didn't do badly with the squad rotation last year at all. It's not that much tighter than last year when six teams were within three points after Round 8. People go on and on (and on) about the Salford and Broncos games last year. I bet as we lifted the Challenge Cup and thrashed St Helens to make the Grand Final, you weren't thinking about those games. I don't for one second argue that the regular season is unimportant; that's just a lazy comment favoured by people who like to moan but individual results are not necessarily vital. Tony Smith has to ensure his squad negotiates 30-odd matches so that come the last weekend of August and the first weekend of October, he hopefully has an in-form and fit 17 (or even 18 or 19) to take one or both of the trophies.

| Anything less than 6 points after these three games will be disappointing. Hudders tvvatted Leeds at Headingley a few weeks ago.

| Leeds have Bradford and then Catalan away over Easter. If we are looking for excuses, us playing Widnes and then London will not be one.

The same Hudds who got pumped at home by Bradford , the same Bradford who pumped HKR , the same HKR who had just pumped Warrington . Go figure .

His form is not great at the moment. We should drop him for a couple of matches to buck his ideas up and play Tyke instead. He needs to remember that he is not an automatic pick.

| Widnes I think it is safe to risk players being out though I wouldn't risk it against Broncos disagree with me all I like but remember last season against Broncos? I wouldn't like a repeat of that so we do need at least one or 2 experienced players I would suggest Westwood, though saying that we do need most of our experienced for Leeds, so Smith (god) needs to really think this through and be CAREFUL.
