| Having sat and reflected for a while on last nights game, Im interested to hear peoples perception of the game last night / squad / year so far.
Firstly lets not panic just yet, we've got a league leaders shield and 3 challenge cup trophies in the last 4 years under our belt so as a club have progressed massively over the last few years. With this success comes expectations which again have grown massively, and rightly so. So here's my opinion, for what its worth on the current situation. As the previous few seasons have shown, you dont need to be awesome for 27 rounds of the competition - you just have to be in the mix at the end.
1. We are nowhere near as fluent, clinical and destrauctive going forward and our attacking play lacks innovation at times.
2. Defensively we are conceeding far too many points for a side with our aspiratiions and this needs to become a priority.
3. The depth in our squad isn't as strong as I thought it was, as shown in the Hull Kr game last week. Whilst young players are gaining vital experience, you can only accomodate 1 or 2.
4. With the exception of a few, our experienced players are playing at nowhere near the standards of previous seasons.
5. We need some fresh faces to integrate into the squad. I think our choice not to recruit in the summer, whilst commendable, was the wrong move.
5. And lastly, we need to start thinking about a replacement for Brett at Full back.

| I recall thinking we we're not going to have a good season in March last year and we ended up two games from the triple. All will be good, but it's our last season with this talented bunch, or maybe penultimate season, either way, fascinating and aren't we lucky.

| So just having a browse through the various posts and topics and up to now the problems are..
The attack is no good.
We're concedeing too many points.
The squad isn't good enough.
Hodgson is past it.
Briers and Morley are a waste of cap space.
Atkins isn't good enough.
Moran needs to get his cheque book out and sign some more players..????
Bloody Hell the Knee Jerkers are back with a vengance its like the old wolf web days...! Friday night was a poor performance theres no getting away from that but we sit 4th in the table 2 points behind 2nd...!
I really don't think its time to be pressing the panic button just yet...!

| jeeze we are 5/6 games into the seson you would think we were 2 from the end and we were bottom of the league!
We will come good the team are adjusting to being without briers.
the only thing i have noticed with moz being out is that if we lose a prop our bench is left incredibly light but its how we play with what we have. but this is probably our problem at the moment we havent got the grunt to do the hard yards in these conditions, but when the track firms then there will be a difference.
dont panic

| Yes agreed, a bit too early to start panicking.
I think that Morley (as much as i hate to say it) is now a liability. It's a waste of a sub bringing them on for 10/15 mins in a whole 80mins. We need the youngsters to rotate and possibly stay on most games if needs be, morley i feel is past it.
We need to keep calm in tough situations as I think we are used to pilling points on teams from the last few years. In the saints game there were kicks on the first and second tackles, whilst this can be creative in the correct situation it can also be stupidity.
We need to keep some consistency in the squad so players know what each other is doing.
Finally, we are predictable at the best of times and teams have cottoned on to that now and just aren't falling for it.
Good points are that bridge looks up for it. so does riley. Miler looks good and so does ratchford.

| Morley looked the pick of the forwards before the bicep tear. The poor performance of the pack has been a direct result of him missing. His aggression is what we need, and Carvell stepping up to carry the flag in Moz's absence.
