Apparently, young Mendeika had a blinder at stand-off for Ireland V Scotland recently.
I've always thought he was a centre and I know people at the club seem to rate him highly, but I've never had chance to see much of him, especially in the halves. Looking at photos from the game he looks a decent size so anyone any thoughts on him, his best position etc.
Perhaps he's one of the reasons we were prepared to let Goulding go?

Watched him in the halves in the final and he was very good, best player n the pitch along with Rhys's Evans who got MOM

He is 20/21. He missed a big chunk of time due to a bad elbow injury and only came back this season in May I think. He is a similar build to Currie, well over 6'.
He 'has a nose' for the try line. Classy player that could well make it through to the first team. He was with Leigh at the back end of the season, so I suspect he will probably go out on DR or even a season loan next season.

Mendeika is a cracking player who looks like he can do a very good job at centre, standoff or 13. He's also very articulate and level headed, I'm expecting him to go along way.
