Anyone know if those miserable-faced automatons masquerading as stewards at Langtree Park will be allowing Wire fans to take their drums into the ground tonight?

It was noticeable that they were kept out at the league game ..... didn't dampen things too much, but I did miss them ......

That away end is going to be packed tonight with plenty of noise without drums.

any luck they wont be lettung drums in, cant stand them, any fully grown man who finds a need to take a drum to a rugby league game really needs to get a full length mirror, take a good long hard look at themselves and ask the question "how sad an am i?"

is it some sort of way of saying to others "hey look at me im a super fan, not just an average run of the mill fan like the rest of you, in fact i care so much i bring a drum"

Drums ruin spontaneous singing as people - like Zombies or Robots - have conditioned themselves (in an atmosphere with a drum) to only clap or sing or make the droany predictable noises of "Der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der der" at matches when a drummer is drumming.

Saints have got it right in banning drums. Drums make an atmosphere sound tacky and cheesy. Drums are also not needed in a crowd fewer in number than about 60000 as everyone can hear songs break out when there are 15-20000 in attendance, with only 4-7000 max being in one stand. Drums are needed if a stand is something the size of the Südtribune and 24000 in one area need a strict rhythmical beat so they can all sing at the same time.

Drums are not allowed at Langtree Park. (Thank God) Who needs a drum anyway.

Just wish our stewards would do the same and ban anyone from bringing them into the ground.
