Yes defenceivly he has come on leaps and bounds, his reading of the game and marshalling the troops now need to follow suit.

His defence has undoubtedly come on a great deal and I know you can't have any defensive weak-links anywhere in the team ......... but I don't particularly want half-backs using energy tackling unless they have to - they should be conserving their energy for pushing the team round the park in attack through a passing & kicking game and Myler still lacks in those areas for me.

You can't not make tackles if the opposition are running at you though.
Myler will come on with more experience in the controlling the game point of view. How many other halfbacks are world beaters at 22? Another year under Briers and working alongside Hodgo will set him right for when god forbid the day we lose Sir Lee. He's played very well for me so far this year, and he'll only get better.

Yeah, he seems to be getting better and better - I imagine a bit of competition with Ratchford and O'Brien in the halves has pushed him harder this season.

The few times we see him kick he seems to be doing okay - the problem is he needs practice, which he's not going to get while Briers et al are on the field. His passing game is already good though, I thought that was originally why we picked him up.
