| There is still time to spread out the cost of your 2013 Season Ticket with the Wolves' 3-month direct debit scheme.
This scheme is great for those supporters buying for themselves or looking to buy as a present for a friend or family member for a memorable Christmas gift!
The scheme has now started and the application closing date is the 1st October 2012. Applications will have the payment dates of October-December.
Season tickets will be available for collection providing all payments have been cleared through Premium Credit Leisure by 17/12/2012. If supporters change their payment date this will put back the collection dates, so all supporters are advised to take this into consideration when submitting their application forms.
Supporters should be advised that prices for the 2013 season are not yet set and may be subject to change. If the Season Tickets do increase in price during your scheme, we will contact you to inform you of the increase.
Forms are available from the WolfWare store at the stadium.

| Can you explain why you have to pay an interest charge for this facility if you don't get your season ticket until you have paid in full?
Makes no sense at all to me.

To answer both questions:
To pay over the 3 months you have to set up a direct debit with the finance company handling the payment, once all payments are made to the finance company then the club is able to release the season ticket.
It's currently a requirement to complete a paper direct debit form with a signature to apply for credit, though they are looking into ways of steamlining this to an online payment gateway. You don't have to come into the club to do this, you can download a form and send it in, information and links to forms here: www.warringtonwolves.org/spread- ... cost--5580

| Most of us on here will need a bit more explanation as to why you can’t just pay a third of the cost, three times direct to the club. People are used to paying for credit, and most of us would understand and accept the interest/charges if the ticket was issued in advance of payment. But charging fans extra for what amounts to paying earlier is crazy! Either that or I don’t understand.

| Must admit this is very baffling and also very poor value. Usually when you take out credit it's because you want a product now and pay for it later - it's only fair you pay interest on that. In this case you are paying upfront for a product you get later and paying a massive percentage for it! For example, for a junior South Stand ticket (value £60), the direct debit cost is £75 as there is a minimum transaction fee of £15. That works out as an astonishing 144% APR!!!
My advice is steer clear of this "offer". Set up a savings account and put your 3 instalments into that instead.

| Not a great offering by the club is it? As has been said, I would avoid this and start saving now if you want to avoid paying outright.

| Thats strange. I did the same thing with my Leeds Rhinos season ticket for a 6 month DD, which is done by the same company as above. started paying on February 1. Season ticket obviously was here before the season started.

| Season tickets don't exactly break the bank in the way it would for a Premier League team, ill just put a couple of overtime shifts in the month before I buy mine rather than pay interest on a 'credit' agreement when it wouldn't actually involve getting it on credit

| Crazy! paying interest on a product that you get after you've finished paying for. Anybody taking this up wants their 'bumps feeling'

Yes, that does make more sense - you get your season ticket and start using it after paying only 1 out of 6 monthly payments. So paying interest for that (albeit at an extortionate rate) is much more logical.
Paying the club for your season ticket early is a good idea as it helps the club's cashflow and can help supporters spread the cost - but they ought to be offering a much better way of doing it than allowing a credit company to take a sizeable cut!

What it should have said;

Sorry for dragging this thread up from page three, but I do feel it was underdiscussed. As a season ticket holder who is going to struggle to come up with the funds for next year, this is a disgrace, a total disgrace. I’m not one to knock the club, I’m genuinely not, honest. But this!

| It's mind boggling that the club are seemingly promoting this. Its just a stupid concept, pay more for your ticket before you get it. Everyone should be made aware of this. Just save up from now, there's plenty of time before the season tickets come out & i think the early bird offer is quite lengthy anyway.
