Upon getting home from Wembley last night I watched the game back. I again watched it this afternoon with a view on watching the players rather than the watching for the result. Trent Waterhouse was fantastic. His tackles and dummy running were outstanding not forgetting his try.

It was a superb performance even without the try. So many options on that side. It must be terrifying to defend against.

Padders, you were trying to tell anybody that would bother to listen, that Waterhouse was definitely leaving at the end of the season. However, from the tone of your post here, it now doesn't seem so certain??....Is this an admittance that you were just spreading bull rumours initially??...

Waterhouse was superb

I love it when you go into denial over your little 'exclusives' you post on here - You actually stated that Waterhouse wanted to leave for personal reasons, though obviously you couldn't name sources because there wasn't one (your imagination or a drunk in the back of your cab doesn't count... ).

I like how you now say it was a rumour, yet when you put it on here, you write it like its 100% nailed on....

I was rather sceptical about Trent in the first 2/3 months of the season, though he was going to be a Matt King and take a year to settle in but I was way off. Has come on tremendously since then and genuinely looks like he's enjoying playing his rugby and more importantly playing for the Wire, judging by his grin as he, Joel Monas and the others at the front of the bus were banging on the front as it pulled into the town hall.

Early in the season I wasn't sure what the fuss was with Waterhouse. I didn't think he was bad, just wouldn't have put him as good a back rower as guys like Burns, Domic etc so wondered how he'd got State of Origin and Test caps. I didn't think he was an improvement on Louis Anderson. But he is really coming to the fore now, a big guy with great strength and work rate, another great signing by Tony Smith, and he is a mark up on Anderson.

waterhouse is immense he is everthing a second rower should be those who doubted him should have watched a bit more NRL. There are very few players who move continents and hit the floor running. along with menzies and few others imo one ofbest second rowers to hit sl from down under.
