| i know this has been talked about before but i think rangi would be a great signing for the wolves by the sound of it he changed the game today with some great passes putting players through gaps i just think he would take us up another level.

| Not for us too much of a loose cannon it is easier to be a big fish in a small pond like Cas but is not a player who can take us any further rather stick with Briers/Myler/O'Brien/Ratch or get a decent replacement like Dobson or a quality half from the NRL

to be fair i was only listening as couldn't get to the game and again it was wire fm so wouldn't surprise me if graham lovett was calling rangi chase danny orr or betty lynch for that matter. surely the first thing you do as a commentator is learn names and what number they are wearing

It wasn't so long ago that our very own Lee Briers was seen as a big fish in a small pond, when he had some of the Anderson/Plange/VanDeVelde era tripe playing with him at Wilderspool.
Personally, I'd take Chase as a replacement for Briers, he certainly has more playmaking 'brain' about him than Myler, and is far more advanced a player than O'Brien, who is still 2 or 3 years from being the complete player....He's also twice the player that Matty Smith is, so that would be a significant advantage over one of our main rivals in years to come.

| In the 2nd half Rangi ripped us a new one. He was the reason why we didn't win 56 - 0.

to be honest FB Doesnt that sum up Chase in one sentence... for a spell in the second half approximately 30 minutes of it he was great.... the rest of the game he was annonymous, running up his own ar$e, continually doing a dummy drop off....?
Was he also the reason why Cas never got on the score sheet in the first half?
Ive seen Lee Briers play surrounded by rank average players and he was far better than Chase....I'm sorry I dont rate the Man, regardless of a 30 minute spell in the second half when we have clearly taken our foot off the gas and made some squad rotations....

No, Cas bombed at least 3 tries in the first half.

| It would be interesting to see hiw he would fair surrounded by much better players, I also think that Tony Smith would give his game a bit more structure.

ahh.... its a pity Chase doesnt have the support play game of Myler then.....he probably put someone through a gap and stood around admiring his pass........
either way I wont be convinced by him....

its clear for all to see Chase's Game needs structure he doesnt know what he's going to do next, so how his team mates can expect to is a mystery.
compare to Briers in the Semi final setting up hodgsons try ........
and your all thinking setting it up he did nothing it was all Hodgsons work....
well Hodgson was about to go left (looking from the huddersfield end) but Briers screamed at him to stop, waved his arms and told him to wrap around right a quick clean ordinary bog standard pass put hodgson in the line as the extra man and he chimed over without a hand on him. Briers' work no danger ..... i dont see chase doing that in that situation ever. he'd have made a queenio pass to Riley 30 yards away...

On the button. Briers can control the tempo and direction of a game. Chase can't.
What a surprise; a team getting rinsed starts throwing the ball around starts posting points. The defending team, then get to grips and start to control the game again.
Gronk; Cas knocked the ball on stretching out over the line once. Don't let wishful thinking get in the way of things.
