| OK, I know its a bit early...but I'm bored.
I was thinking we have Monas and Solo available for next week after they came through the 9's competition. But will they both play ? I am not sure we can afford to 'carry' two forwards that are not match fit for a game against Hull. And Moz has not exactly been scooting around the field anyway, he is still getting his fitness back as well.
However, we need Monas back to fitness and form asap now that we are getting to the pointy end of the season. The only way that is going to happen is by giving him plenty of game time. I wonder if we will therefore see Monas play, but perhaps Solo only named in the 19 ?

I wouldn't look at playing either of them until they've had a proper run out with the full U 20 side, too much of a risk.

We don't have an Under 20s league game until Sunday 22nd July at Castleford!
We are at Wigan in the RL9s tomorrow evening and then finals night is at Leeds next Tuesday providing we finish in the top 4 in our group but after that we have over 3 weeks before our next game which isn't ideal when we have players needing games.

| The only way to get players fully match fit is to play them in games. Is it worth putting Monas on the bench?
Personally cannot wait to see him back and firing.

| My team would look something like; (Presuming Hodgson is injured)
Ratchford
Riley
Atkins
Bridge
J Monas
Briers
O'Brien
Hill
Higham
Carvell
Westwood
Waterhouse
Grix
Morley
Harrison
Wood
Dwyer
I would throw Evans, Myler, Solo, M Monas into the 9's for the coming weeks to get some match fitness and they hopefully will be ready for Salford away the week after.

| I would like to see Solo get some game time against Salford as I think we need him for the Catalans game the week after.
Playing Monas in the 9's again is an interesting possibility. We can not really afford to lose / experiment with the Hull match, but I think I would still be tempted to pick him and give him two 20 minute stints.

| Why this desperation to get Solomona back?
I understand wanting Monaghan back and I'd probably have him on the bench for Hull, but Solomona can wait as far as I'm concerned. We have Waterhouse, Westwood, Grix, Harrison, Cooper, Currie, McCarthy who have all performed well in the back row. I know Solomona brings that something different - he also brings a big error count.

In that case they both have to play tomorrow then.

Yes, he can certainly dish the errors in a game, but I was thinking of the Catalans game. We will need a big pack to counter the size of theirs.

| Solomona looked a good few weeks away from first team duty at Salford last week whilst I'd expect Monas to slot straight back in against Hull.

| Westwood will be given another weeks rest after his operation. McCarthy to take his place with Solomona on the bench. Myler in for O'Brien.

| I tend to agree that O'Brien should keep his place on merit and if Hodgson is rested for Ratchford at FB what a goal kicker? I've been really impressed with this aspect of his game.
No doubt TS will make the right decision on giving the whole squad including those returning from injury optimum game time as we build to the 'pointy end' of ther season
