| I thought it was generally a good performance and once we got a try on the board we looked a lot more coherent. Early on our physicality looked a concern, if anything Bradford were winning the collision, but perhaps we played the long game because from the 30th minute on we started to look stronger. Our shape in attack still hasn't reached the heights of last season.
Brett was a deserved man of the match and all of the backs had their bright moments. However, it was the forwards that asserted our dominance and an overdue return to form from Garreth Carvell. He really took it to them as we started to take control and resisted the stupid offload. I'm still not sure Woody is back to his best, but it was a bit better than we've seen.
Child totally lost control in the second half and was kidded a few times by the Bulls players, not least for the sinbinning where Hargreaves seemed to throw it away. He made a few gaffes for both sides, although the 'out on the full' was probably the worst.
All in all, 7/10 and we did what was required to win in relative comfort. In the hat.

| James child is the worst ref in rugby league , even the Ben jefferies knock went behind him from the kick off , penalising markers for tackling , the sin binning was laughable , tyrone mccarthy knock on facing his own sticks , i could go on

| Thoughts from being at the match - James Child isn't capable of reffing my step-son's U11s, never mind a professional game. Rubbish for both sides, he seems incapable of remembering the rules from one play to the next.

I think the ref pointed out that Joel wasn't in the centre of the pitch, whereas Lee was.

| With respect to those who couldn't make it due to work etc, but 5500 crowd is very disappointing with a local population of 200,000, If you don't turn up whenever you are able, one day you won't have a club to moan about.
We're lucky to have a top flight sporting team in the town, you should go no matter how inconvenient it is.
Every little helps !

| Was it only 5500? Looked more on the telly. South Stand pretty full, half decent away numbers, not that much in the other two stands admittedly.

| 5505, according to the announcer. I thought it was a shame - if the cup run goes all the way, no doubt everyone will want to travel to Wembley rather than watch it on the telly. It's a shame not to show your support along the way in person.
It was a very frustrating game though. With Child as ref, it's slow, inconsistent and really annoying. I'd hate to be someone unfamiliar with the game, watching on BBC and trying to follow the rules - JC was making them up!

There was a full set of fixtures in the amateur game today too. The amateurs kick off at 2:30pm. I would have normally been there, so would some of the players and their families but you can't be in two places at once.

| thought the club slipped up not offering the voucher for free admission this year for this rounds tie,it was free for juniors but not for adults hence the poor attendance in the east and north stand,i think we would have been portrayed in a better light with packed stands for a home game albeit televised or not, still the wire march on.

| When we play games in the earlier rounds of CC we often get lower gates.
Some posters on here then talk about Loyal fans and how the ones that didn't go will be there if we get to Wembley and thus they are Band Waggoner's. I didn't go today because I work every other Saturday, it drives me mad missing any Wire game and I am sure it is the same for many other fans. Watching the Lads is often the highlight of my week and if I had my way Off Season would be banned and made illegal.
I had work today others who didn't go had their valid reasons varying from family commitments, other pre arranged functions or just plain not having the funds for every single game.
All who post on here love the Wire [size Except Saddened who should be shot at dawn for being a fifth columnist[/size and if we could would be at each & every single game cheering the lads on.
