I remember being in London at the official launch of the Gordon the Gopher merchandising programme, complete with young Philip Schofield and all. They didn't mention a license for the Wires, but then they probably had never heard of Warrington! Copyright stuff was so much more innocent in those days...............

on the same vein, my son was in school on friday and the author of bob the builder was in giving a talk, he's a life long wire fan and stated he gave one of the creatures in the programme a red and green scarf as it was the warrington away colours in 1994 when he created "bob"
