For the game this Thursday my G'dad can't make it as he has an hospital appointment. Obviously his season ticket is a OAP so I cant just give it to my mate. Is there a way of changing it from OAP to adult? I'm expecting to have to pay a bit of money but that's not really an issue.

If your mate is only a young bloke the same ticket would do him as a student surely. I am not suggesting you cheat the club though

1. Pushchairs and prams are not permitted into the Stadium for Health & Safety reasons.
2. Any infants (0 to 4yrs) will only be admitted free of charge with a valid ticket.
This must be claimed 24 HRS BEFORE the game, subject to availability and with proof of date of birth
This is only available on a match by match basis.
There is no free admission for infants on the day of game
3. Carers will only be admitted when entering the stadium with a disabled supporter.
The season ticket must be presented when both supporters enter the stadium together.
4. Any promotional offers must be redeemed 24 HRS BEFORE the chosen game at the club shop.
No redemption will be permitted on the day of the game.
This includes friend for a fiver and any school or foundation promotions
5. When requesting a transfer or upgrade, the season ticket book MUST be presented
Any requests for upgrade or transfer must be redeemed 24 HRS BEFORE the game.
NO stand transfers or upgrades are permitted on match days.
Only 3 transfers are permitted per season ticket.
6. Turnstile operators have strict instructions to accept only the correct voucher.
You MUST bring your full season ticket book for admittance at the turnstiles on a match day
No vouchers will be accepted without the correct book.
Vouchers must be torn out in the presence of the turnstile operator
7. Entrance to the stadium is at the discretion of the management of Warrington Wolves;
All Ground Regulations and Safety messages must be complied with.

9. Admission to Academy & Reserve League matches at Wilderspool will be by production of the complete booklet - no voucher is required for entry.
10. This season ticket remains the property of Warrington Wolves; it is strictly non-transferable or saleable.
11. Seats are granted at the discretion of Warrington Wolves, where a seat is not available or a Ticket Holder asked to move, a similar priced seat will be offered.
12. Ticket holders smoking or engaging in any form of bad language, racist or abusive behaviour will have their tickets withdrawn and future entry refused.
13. Photo ID with proof of age will be required when purchasing a Concession, Junior, Young Adult, Student or infant ticket. Disabled supporters will need proof of eligibility
14. Refunds for match tickets will only be issued 48 hrs before a game on production of a valid receipt.
15. If the season ticket book is defaced in any way, then it will be confiscated and a replacement issued with a replacement charge. Details of ST holder must be available for viewing when requested
16. In the event of a season ticket holder misplacing, losing or defacing their season ticket, the club will only issue a duplicate book on payment of the current full value of the season ticket. We strongly advise all season ticket holders that their household insurance policy covers this eventuality.

Yes you can do this. Go to the club shop with your grandad's season ticket and tell them you wish to upgrade it for the Widnes match. You are alowed to do this upto three times a season, and each time you do they'll sign the page in the back that is for this.

Can't tell you how much it is, as it depends on which stand it is. It will be about £7 though.

Oh one more thing, they changed the rules on this last season. It must be done at least 24 hours before the game, and they stick to this rule.

I always thought that an "upgrade" was when say a South Standers wanted to UPGRADE to a East/North seat for a game...NOT when a concession wanted to upgrade to an adult ticket. Passing off as a student wouldnt work ninearches as the student tickets have photo ID included in them. You would have to speak to the club BUT as season tickets are non-transferable I think the OFFICIAL line might be No.

I did this with my dad's ticket for the Saints game on Friday, you can do it three times a season.

I did it for my lads ticket on friday, upgraded a junior to an adult. As long as you go in the shop by close of business on wednesday you'll be fine.

Surely if you can do this then it makes a complete mockery of their 'season tickets are strictly non-transferable' policy.

Cheers for the answers guys. I have a slight problem though with the 24 hours prior to kick off. I live 80 miles away and really can't afford the petrol to get there and back just to swap a ticket. I think I may just leave it.

post it recorded delivery with payment and a return recorded envelope should receive it back the next day.

No. My whole family live in the black country (Halesowen) unfortunately.

Probably best to forget the upgrade and just buy a full price ticket for your mate then.

To be honest, 1905, I only told my mate there might be a chance he could get a ticket for cheap knowing my g'dad wasn't coming. But now I might as well just leave it. I doubt my mate will lose any sleep over it and it seems to upgrade the ticket means a lot of hassle, so it just means there will be one less body. Unless anyone knows an OAP that would want it?
