Thats what we said when we were thumped by Hull and embarrassed by Bradford.
Seems the Board didn't buy it from simmonds. .

This. We had our pants pulled down last night and the club needs to regroup now. Get their heads down and smash weirdness like there's no tomorrow.

This. Well said. Saints were great last night - we were poor - it happens - rather now than later - we've been pretty poor ALL season so far - yet we're still up there (and you can't say we're not used to losing to Saints!).

We're a third of the way through the regular season and we've yet to play anything better than average (and even then I think we've only achieved that twice), and we were poor against a red hot Saints team last night. Despite this we only lost by 12 points and will finish the weekend 3rd in the table.

Obviously I would like us to play the 'champagne rugby' that we acheived for most of last season, but for whatever reason things haven't quite clicked yet. If we go into the last half dozen games of the season still playing the way we are then I might start to worry. As we were reminded many times this season the title is won in October, not March.

Thats true to a certain extent but it doesn't apply when you get to a certain age and your body can't perform like it used to do, its the same with boxers when they reach a certain age, the body can't do what the brain wants it to do due to the natural ageing process.

Sportsmen as you know only have a certain length of time where they can perform to there peak, when they reach a certain age its usually downhill from their, you do get the odd exception to the rule like Steve Menzies but they are very few and far between. Look at Ian Thorpe in Swimming, he ruled mens swimming for years and set various world and olympic records but now he can't even qualify for the Australian olympic team.

Indeed. I think our style of play needs a little work - I'm not talking baby-out-with-the-bathwater stuff, just remembering the basics of rugby league that earn you the right to play the champagne stuff that comes naturally to us in the right context.

The good news is that, Catalans away aside, we don't have a particularly scary-looking fixture list in the weeks to come. All shirts should be available, nobody has a divine right to a shirt, and we should be looking at giving youngsters or fringe players the chance to stake a claim.

That starts next week vs Widnes. Pick a team to win the game, and that means experience like Westwood, Briers, Hodgson (still getting up to match speed) as well as your tryscorers like Atkins and Bridge. But let's also appreciate who's in form, and for me that's Higham and Dwyer as alternating hookers rather than Monaghan, to whom we can give a couple of days extra rest. Maybe give Rhys Williams a shot, and Tyrone McCarthy. After last night I'd certainly have at least one of Carvell or Wood spending next Thursday doing laps of Bank Park.

I think Smith's focus should be on assembling a team ready to be somewhere near a peak come the last weekend of April. That's the 5th Round of the Cup, and we could be playing one of the other top sides. With the greatest respect, we should be beating Cas at home and Keighley with the dinner jacket on. That doesn't mean we will, but let's not panic.

In any job, electrician, joiner, brick-layer, rugby league player, you have to get the basics right before you go onto the fancy stuff. We just aren't doing the basics. How could we cross their try line with so little possession, and when we did have the ball, we were pinned on our line, first half anyway.

Class is permanent form is temporary. So are you arguing that the recent form of Warrington over the last year is not a true reflection of their class and now normal service has been resumed.
